Here's my leg workout, I train them once every 6 or 7 days

Squats x 4
Deadlift x 4
Hack Squat x 4
Hamstring Curl x 4

Do I need to add Leg Extensions into the mix for Quads or am I getting enough Quad work from the squats, etc? I am trying to gain mass right now. As it is, I can hardly walk for 4 or 5 days after this workout. LOL. I definatley don't want to overtrain. :trout:

THANKS

Its more about weights + intensities than about how many exersizes you need to do :) squats alone are fine for a while. Thats why its handy to follow a specific laid out by trainer plan. Whether its Max-OT, HST, GVT, Body for Life or whatever, at least there is a plan to specifically follow. Take notes too! as specific as you can. Thats the most underused piece of equipment in most gyms, a notepad :D

I think its best to shift your specific exersizes around fairly frequently, like every 6 weeks (the timespan is up to you). So swap the squats for leg extensions in 6 weeks, then 6 weeks later switch it back. Same goes for anything really, do tricep kickbacks and close grip pushdowns for 6 weeks then do lying tricep extensions and dips for 6 weeks and switch back. GVT is recommended for only a 30 day span...

right on.
I take notes of each exercise I perform, weight, reps, etc. I walk around with a three ring binder. I am doing this workout that I downloaded from bodybuilding.com. It is a 4 day w/o doing one body part per week. I usually do the cycle every 6 days instead of 7.

I do fullbody workouts and train my legs 3x per week. So far, i love it....its quick, its simple, and keeps my training fun...seriously. My split ....

MON, WED, FRI:

CHEST - INCL DB (3X6)
BACK - BB ROW (3X6)
TRI - CG BENCH PRESS (3X6)
BI - INCL DB CURL (3X6)
LEGS - PARALLEL SQUAT (3X5) & FINISH WITH 2 SETS OF DB LUNGES.
SHOULDERS - ARNOLD PRESS (3X8)

so far i like it alot. I change the reps up every so often....like next week, im gonna do same sets, but with 8 reps and legs ill do 6 reps.

any questions , ask away
