Training weak side

Hey guys, im new on this forum and need your advice.
I recently injured my right bicep and can't really do anything, and was thinking to keep working out my left side (which has always been my weaker side, so as to get it up to the same strength as my other side) until the bicep is healed completely. Would that be a good idea? I just don't want to be sitting at home and do nothing :)
