What's the difference (size gains, performance, etc.) between progressing via adding more weight & keeping the same rep scheme vs. adding reps while keeping the same weight?

For example (don't hold me to specifics in the numbers, just general idea)

Adding weight
1: 3x10@80lbs
2: 3x10@90lbs
3: 3x10@100lbs
4: 3x10@110lbs

Adding Reps
1: 3x6@100lbs
2: 3x8@100lbs
3: 3x10@100lbs
4: 3x6@120lbs

To get bigger you have to continue to stress your muscle fibers...and the best way to do that is to add weight!
To get big, you have to lift HEAVY

Depends on your tempo and TUT. There's seldom a clear-cut answer to questions like these.

Agreed, you have too increase the volume of your workout over time to increase the load on your muscles. Those are just a couple of ways to do it. It's also easy to track, and helps with strength gains.

nothing is perfect for everyone, just exsperiment with it and find out what works best for you.

step 1:break down muscle
step 2:eat correctly and rest to rebuild muscle
step 3:repeat
