Need a routine for an ectomorph buddy of mine.

If he has been lifting for awhile then look into the DC 3 day split.

Do you have a good link? google is not giving good results. He just started lifting and he hasn't even done any leg training yet. I'm trying to find a good routine for him.
 
IntenseMuscle.com is the official DC site. If he is that new to lifting though, he might do better with a 5x5 set up until he builds up some strength and good technique with the weights.

Another great program, although there has been recent discussion on that type periodization not being appropriate for beginners. I know DeFranco uses his WS4SB with high school kids though.. What are your thoughts?
 
+1 for starting strength. Make sure he gets the form for the major lifts down perfect, he is in the best spot for that as he is a blank canvas.

Dc for a true ecto is too much imo. X2 for starting strength
