    Want to start 5/3/1 but...


    I've been battling reverse tendonitis for the past few weeks. I take supplements and ice it. The only thing that really affects it is flat barbell bench. My question is, is there anything else I could do in place of flat barbell bench to take the stress off my left elbow for Wendler's 5/3/1 program?

    Look for his q and a on 5/3/1, its also in his new book. Example, Wendler has some shoulder problems and so he couldnt bench for some time and replaced bench with barbell row. If you cant bench, then just sub it out with something that doesnt hurt your elbow but will carry over to your bench. CG Bench, Incline, Floor Press, ect. Some guys use incline press instead of flat bc of shoulder issues.
