Thinking of changing my routine

For about the last year, I have done a 5 day split:
chest/tri
back/bi
legs
shoulders
arms
rest
rest

I have been reading lots of people say they grow best hitting a muscle twice a week, what do you think about:
Chest/tri
Back(shoulders)/bi
legs
rest
chest/tri
back(shoulders)/bi
legs
rest

????

I'm ready to try something else as well. I usually do
chest/bi
legs
abs
tri/shoulder
back
off
abs


Was debating on doing the same thing you have outlined except putting shoulders on leg day and also having a rest day between back and leg day so hitting each muscle group every 5 days.

I say try and out and see what works. We can all give you tons of advice but sometimes you gotta see if the routine works for you. My routines would not be given a white light by probably anyone on this board.

There are several programs ppl that do twice a week. I personally do twice a week now:
Upper-bench
Lower-squat
Off
Upper-oh press
Lower-deadlift
Off
Off
I also do 5/3/1

Once I hit some platues ill prob try layne nortons PHAT routine, which is a ME and DE routine
Upper Power-ME
Lower Power-ME
Off
Back/Delts Hyper-DE
Lower Hyper-DE
Chest/Arms Hyper-DE
Off

There are endless options
