Hey all,

JUst a quick question, has anyone got or know someone who has arthritis in their sternum? In particular the manubriosternal joint.

I've just been diagnosed with this after suffering/still suffering from costochondritis for over 11months (in that time I have not worked out nor been active).

Just wanted to know for those who have it or have suggestions, what exercises would you be able to do since any upperb ody workout has the sternum come into play. I get dull aches across my upper chestal region when i do any motion which depicts chinups/lat pull motions or seated rows and any twisting motion.

Also do you think working the back out entirely will strengthen the torso such that the load less on the sternum (i have rounded shoulders) and hence minimised pain and ache?

Cheers.
