Me and my buddy have been wondering what is more difficult to preform, normal flat bench or flat bench from the pins? Whats your guys take on this?
From the pins, the muscle is not preloaded as it would be when you lower the weight down to your chest, thus force is produced less rapidly.

WHere are you placing the pins? If they are placed at the level of the chest, or slightly off it then yes; however, if they are placed further up, shortening the rep and working the lockout, then not likely.
ah ok makes sense they are about 4 inches off the chest, were going to try and get it closer tho next time. thanks for your input
