heavy bench workouts?

what do you think about this workout for bench?

5 reps at 75%
5 reps at 75%
5 reps at 75%
4 reps at 80%
3 reps at 85%
2 reps at 90%
1 rep at 95%

25 overall reps just like a 5x5 but it pyramids down. However i'm wondering if this would be too much to handle? I'm wanting to find a new workout i LOVE the 5x5 but i get to where my workout weight moves up but my max plateaus. Also tried a 3x3 and hated it. Looking for something new. Any comments, suggestions?

Maybe DC training, I just started it up about a week ago and it seems like I'm not doing enough for each body part but I guess we will see how the end results go.... I hear it's great though

floor presses has really increased my overall bench. it helps with explosion and its made me alot stronger

I would drop to sets at 75% and add reps to the heavier sets. Then every third or fourth week, swap the order and do couple warmups and do max set first then drop some weight and do some rep sets.

Your max isn't going up because your taxed out before you do your heaviest set.

doin a rep on the same variation of bench every workout at 95% isnt a good idea

i do floor bench one week and regular bench the next week. i dont do both in one workout. i dunno if u were sayin that to me or what lol just stating that out there

no i maent if he did that routine every week he would burn out rather quick my max is 270 if i kept throwing up95% of that every chest workout i would be maxing 225 before i know it.!

but yea i got some great gains benching using coans routine and on assistance day worknig up to a heavy 3 rep of the floor but the closer my bench gets to 300 the more recovery days i need.
