Burning inner ears during running?

Anyone else get this. Usually when I am getting back in shape from a hiatus(now from being jobless so long) or even when I am fit, during intense running sessions my inner ears get on fire. Literally painful, burning as if there was a match down each canal.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Could be sinus infection related or immune response related.

Well its been this way for 3 years, so if I had an infection that long(though I just got over a left ear infection) I would likely be dead :)

Not sure what you mean about the immune system response.

A nurse friend of mine I talked to mentioned rising blood pressure and the vents in the inner ear not working right to relieve pressure. Which actually damages the ear.

Gave me an article saying that high impact cardio can cause damage to some peoples ears :eek5:

It is possible to have a recurring viral ear infection for years. Could also be nerve damage. There's also pressure issues, which should get better if you're breathing in your nose and out your mouth. That's all I can think of, and to tell you the truth, none of them sound like your problem.

Do you have any hearing problems, or any other ear/nose/throat issues???
