I am 5 months out from my next contest, and hoping to figure out how much volume is enough without muscle wasting. I am not eating low calorie, but relatively clean for being on a Ship. US NAVY Here. I cook my own meals when I am off work. I am 6-1 233 give or take a few. I will be doing Cardio early am empty stomach, about 3 months out. I do Navy Physical Training 3 times a week. I train afternoons about 5-6 days a week.
I do 3-4 exercises 3 sometimes 4 sets each. Not counting warm ups. I always shoot for 10-12 reps, but sometimes doing heavy squats or deads I do 6, but only on last set or two. I am interested in getting feedback on how much volume others incorporate pre contest.
I am 34 years old.
I will be starting a PH Cycle precontest about 8 weeks out. I will increase intesity at that point as well due to being able to better hold onto the muscle.
