Is doing 20 sets of chest exercises too much? Four of those sets are warmups, but the other 16 are pretty intense. How much is too much?

If you're doing chest once a week, eating properly, and resting appropriately, 20 sets is good. I do anywhere from 14 to 20 sets weekly.

20 sets isnt bad at all

4 set warm up
4 x 8-10 flat bench
4 sets Incline Dumbells
4 sets decline press
4 sets flyes

thats sounds like a great BB style routine. i dont think ur OT at all

Thanks for the responses. So here's another question. Would it goof up my Monday chest routine if I did a couple hundred pushups (not all at once) on Friday?

Only way to know is to try and see if your sore or if your strength goes down on your Monday workout. Sounds like a lot of push-ups though.

Ok, makes sense. I don't do warmup sets or decline but I do throw in dips.
