Anything by Lamb Of God .
Damn near anything by The Casualties .
If these are too hardcore I reccomend-
Bullet For My Valentine , Atreyu , From Autmn To Ashes , Avenged Sevenfold(older albums are better for A7X), Trivium - all have some decent songs to get you pumped to lift . But be careful as most of these bands are kinda screamo and might make you feel like wearing guyliner :)

Anything by Morrissey.

Just kidding. You know, I despise 90% of rap/hip-hop, but Jay-Z's "99 Problems" gets my workout off to a solid start.

I don't like listening anything too hard. I wanna get up for workouts or a lift, but not too uppity up. I like to stay more even keel. Not too high, not too low. And 95% of my WO's are music free. I truly love the quiet peace of the iron. It sings you know. :)

I see alot of kum quats at the Y that are listening to some freaky, real heavy stuff. And because of it they're moving the wts. around faster than two horney monkeys gettin' it on. But if you can control it then more power to you.

I like Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters, Police, Duran Duran, U2, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath. Alot of the older stuff. Ha, I was born in 76', sooooooo.

Its quite easy actually, listen to a band that puts anger, and other emotions in to their music and in turn, it transfers to you when you are ripping' the weights apart. All the music pronounced above do this unbelievably well. I personally cant listen to "gangstas" rapping bout "gittin the dough, and poppin' the ho, while drivin' down the fo fo," when im in the zone of demolishing my PR's. Now if im cruising down the road,... thats a different story.

Glad to know i'm the first here to breaka way from the norm of which all of you seem to adhere. The heavy metal kills workouts for me personally. and rap music just makes me want to pay attention to the lyrics therefor distracting me while in need of focus. This is why I listen to Hardstyle. Noisecontrollers, tatanka, dj lady dana, headhunterz, technoboy...
*I realize this is not the top 10 list, but assume it wont be added to anyones playlist anyway. Just giving my personal preference an outlet. Try something new you guys, may work well for you too. I love rap, hip-hop, techno, trance, rock, metal, pop, all types of music but country. And this works best for ME during PR breaks
