sauna's are good for dehydrating you, and therefore increasing the density of the testosterone released from working out. counterproductive if you don't rehydrate yourself later in the day though.

hot tubs are better for recovery. way better, especially on a brutal leg day. at least that's how it works for me.

Sweat, sweat, sweat. Just be cautious about being in them too long. and hydrate!

I love to take a steam shower after a good workout. Turn shower on hot and steam filles the bathroom. Just sit and relax... mmm

steamrooms are good for increasing density of test? so if i'm running a test supplement sitting in a steamroom might actually help with the effects?

Cold hot therapy i think is the best.

Pro athletes put their injured legs/arms into water tanks that measure to degrees, lets say 50 degrees.

I think ICe Cold is actually better than Desert Hot, but Dessert Hot is more relaxing than ice cold. Theyre both good therapies, and id do both, if i had the time.

increases density by dehydrating you.... the amount of test doesn't change, but the density of it in your bloodstream does... good after a workout to help test find a receptor easier, but bad if you don't rehydrate yourself within a couple hours, since dehydrated muscles don't grow very well.

There are old Russian studies that showed an increase in HGH from lengthy sauna use. How good those studies are is a big unknown for me.

those studies didn't take into account the dehydration effect. they tested blood levels, but didn't do any studies adjusting for the lost water. still, a tool that can be used effectively since increased saturation implies better ability to find a receptor.

    bumping this.
Im going to start using the dry sauna at my school maybe 3 days a week.
I plan to have my shake then go in. I want my heart rate to come down a bit as well as bodytemp slightly because i sweat like crazy as it is.

im glad there is finally a thread about this. i was thinking of posting one. i use the sauna alot right after i train and after i drink my shake and swallow some pills. i find its good for circulation and loosens everything up like joints and what not. also, it burns calories. i remembering reading that 15 or 20 minutes in a sauna can burn over 500 calories. so its like 15 minutes in a sauna is equal to jogging for 50 minutes. and i HATE cardio so ill take sitting in a room sweating my ass off over jogging anyday. however, i get dizzy sometimes when its too hot or too long. plus im on a couple different meds that are pretty powerful so i think that has alot to do with it.

i always stretch when im in the sauna. its alot easier because the muscles are more pliable. a warm rubberband will stretch alot easier than a cold one obviously. there are numerous health benefits of a sauna. i just hate when guys go in there buck naked. i dont want to see that and have them sit and sweat where i might sit later. some guys even shave in there. and they also block the sensor so it gets SUPER hot. alot of times i cant take it, its just too intense so ill leave with only like 5-10 minutes.

i def recommend it if your gym or health club has one. def use it. you feel refreshed afterwards and its very good for your skin and gets alot of crap out of your body. if you take your nails and scratch your arm you'll be surprised at how much "gunk" comes off. its good to get that crap out
