    Glutes are the focus

not for me, but I've been training my gf. She has a bad shoulder, and has trouble doing squats not matter where the bar position is. Has any of you guys done "jeffersons" before? And what did you think of them?

(btw, I know to each his own, and just because someone has a mind muscle connection with a certain exercise doesn't mean she will.)

Walking lunges with a long step (both legs come to a 90 degree angle) are much better for glutes.
