warm up sets and cool down sets

    warm up sets and cool down sets


    How do you use these effectively? I like to use warm up sets and I feel they are a good thing to avoid injury before going heavy, here's my question... if you're doing 3x10 of bench press whats the typical weight you use for warm up compare to your first set? (in lbs or percentage)

    cool down sets... I like to use these to get a good pump, usually I'll tapper down the weight as in drop sets, but i get taxed heavily and will only do this at the end of my workout!

    What's your strategy if you use these?

    i usually do about 50% the weight on warm ups and cool downs its not much of a strain but helps get the muscles ready i dont usually do cool downs i feel too tired most of the time.

    Warm ups help a lot in my opinion.

    I think warm up sets are very important too.... do you use 50% of your max set or first set?

    I usually do half of first set depending on what exercise im still not best to judge it im still young when it comes to working out and not sure 100% on tactics.

    at least 50% lets say on bench im doin a 4x365 i would warm up with 5 deep reps of 315. the whole reason you warm up is the get the blood flowin and a good stretch so you dont hurt yourself.
