Single traingin instead of splits.

hey, ive always been doing split training wheather it be chest/tri, back/bi, chest back, bi/tri ive done em all, ive been looking into doing 1 group per day (chest day 1, legs day 2 .. etc) any recomendations on how many exercises and rep range? id assume it would be alot quicker of a workout..
