Howdy folks. It's not often that I ask a question, but here goes...

I'm looking into getting a calcium supplement for my wife. She is lactose intolerant and can't handle anything dairy. She is currently nursing our youngin' and needs to get more calcium in her diet for the sake of them both.

With all of the calcium supps out there, can anyone recommend anything in particular? I've taken a peak at what NP has to offer (prefer to shop there, naturally), and would like some feedback on the different types. What would be most effective?

Much obliged for the assistance, folks.

My mom uses one called Caltrate plus, she has for a long time. She too is lactose intolerant and osteoporosis (disease that causes degredation of the bones) runs in her family and is common in many women so she uses that one. Im not sure if thats available in the US as well? But she just gets it at walmart. It has a few other minerals as well like Vit D and some others so its more akin to what milk has in it as well.

Some info on it there
