I got some bulk salvia to cap and soon remembered why I hate capping powders.
To make the powder easier to work with, I tried the following:
Mix salvia powder with sesamin at 1:1 ratio (by volume). 10 ml of salvia powder is approximately 3.8 grams.
The salvia absorbs very well in (lukewarm) sesamin. Then use a squirt bottle or oral syringe to fill your caps. Sounds like a pain, but it was actually less of a mess and faster. And salvia/sesamin goes well together.
By my math, a "00" gelcap (filled just under the rim of the "bottom" or "inner" half of the empty cap) holds approximately 225 mg salvia and .6 ml of sesamin. Two caps before a meal would be a good dose.
