| Registered User | Liver support Hey fellas, My brother who's a collegiate athlete has had his fair share of injuries, (ridiculous amount actually), has been on many anti-inflammatory pills and many things that may have been harmful on his liver. He's also in college and when not on these anti-inflammatory he can drink pretty heavy (usually just during the summer.) He's wondering if there is any foods that will maybe help him out or is there any liver support supplements that may help him out. Thanks for any info guys. He obviously sticks away from the alcohol when on the pills. Sidenote: I dont know how to put this in a proper way but he's defecated with blood in his feces before. (that's when he was on indomethacin and 800 mg of ibuprofen so it was a guess that the blood was a side effect from strain on the liver) Could this be a possibility? Thanks for all the help |

| Under Construction | also, the liver has great abilities to recover from such things...if you let it! a little self control would probably be a good idea too(drinking)! just because he's not taking the med's that are hard on his liver deosn't mean that it's ok to start drinking right away... also, I believe it can take a month for the milk thistle to start doing it's job. and, it's not an open invite to start abusing your body...don't let him think that just because he's taking MT that he's ok to start drinking heavily.
