Now Foods Carbo Gain

NOW Foods - Carbo Gain 100% Complex Carbohydrate - 2 lbs.

Is maltodextrin really no good? They claim its slow burning complex carbs, will it really spike glucose levels? I need a gainer but am allergic to gluten/wheat.

have you considered oat flour?

not sure if it s indeed gluten free, but it's oat, not wheat. And at $5 for 2lbs it's some cheap but worthy carbs.

Thanks for the idea, I can have oats... they are typically gluten free. Wonder how it tastes in a shake....

I kind of like ground oats in my shake. Call me crazy, but it's got a neat sorta gritty texture that I enjoy with chocolate and banana. Makes for a nice thick shake

Just get a coffee grinder, lots of oats and go wild !
