on the side of mine it says "500 grams
1/4 tsp = 700mg"

1 tsp then = 2.8g

if you want 5g then you need almost 2 tsp

Also if you have a scale, the first time you might want to check how much 2 tsp gives you, because rounding sometimes throws you off. It might be close to 750mg, or it might be closer to 650mg/ 1/4 tsp. When in doubt, a bit extra doesn't hurt, especially since it is so cheap!

Damn, I left mine in the box with all the soft shock absorbers and never read that D:

By 1 tsp do they mean a teaspoon just flat across the top or just an average teaspoon scoop that's a little heaped? Sorry, that's a really newbish question :think:
 
I actually had a question on this. Typically creatine is 5g for a rounded teaspoon. NPs bulk mono says 700mg for 1/4 teaspoon, which as mentioned earlier would be roughly 2.8g for a teaspoon. What's up with this?
The thing I have noticed though is that NP's bulk mono appears lighter and more airy (if that's a word) than some of the other creatine monos I've tried before. They can be gritty and heavy. Perhaps I answered my own question?
 
It's micronized, which allows more air to get between particles.

And Creatine is often 5 grams per heaping teaspoon.

Cool, that's kind of what I figured. Right when I opened NP's bulk creatine mono it looked much fluffier and lighter than some of the previous creatine monos I've had before. In fact it seems even more airy than most of the other micronized creatine monos I've seen before. Perhaps it's super micronized? Either way it does seem to dissolved better all of the other ones I've tried. I'm a NP mono man for life now.
 
Well, I guess it depends on whether the tsp measurement on the label refers to a heaped tsp or not.

And what do you guys mean by heaped?

I should really just buy a measuring spoon or something :P
 
Guys, creatine is 5 grams per tablespoon, not teaspoon. That's where all this confusion is coming from

No that's not really true. Go check out most creatines and they are 1 "heaping" tsp (which is a teaspoon) for 5 grams. A tablespoon would be like 14 grams.

the NP bulk creatine specifically says 1/4 teaspoon is 700mg
 
guys, I think the easiest way to do this is to just buy a scale. :P
