$60 Burning a hole in my pocket.

So today I went to the local GNC and Vitamin World, and WOW.
Can you say over-priced? Because I can.

I will definitely be buying online from now on.

Anyways, I want good pre-workout, post-workout, and just whatever supplements. (Haha don't know how to put it.)

I know I'm going to be buying Ragnarok, which I would be taking before my workout.
I have some ON 100% Whey Protein which I'd be taking after my workout.
And I have some mono which I'd be taking as well.

My question is:
Is there anything that I can replace the protein and mono with that will show better results..? I'm looking for muscle mass and quick recovery...

Suggestions! Suggestions!

those are staples for most, you cannot replace them and get better results. The whey post workout is almost essential unless you eat within an hour. when you finish the mono try dicreatine malate, but have some form of creatine.

other staples would be fish oil/flax oil and a good multi vitamin

Thank you for the quick reply.
Should I get a better brand than GNC Creatine Mono...?

+rep to you.

EDIT: Can someone suggest a Ragnarok stack?
And would I just be better off buying Shock Therapy/Storm stack...?

I dont use pre workout stims but have heard great things about ragnarok. If you already have the GNC mono that is fine but check Nutraplanet for bulk supplies . . . much cheaper! Dicreatine and tri are 2 good choices.

I'm a bit confused, are Dicreatine and Tricreatine stronger than normal creatine or what..?
I searched google with no results.

edit: nevermind, i found it out myself. thanks for your help. would rep again if i could.

You might want to check out controlled labs stuff. I take white flood and green bulge there both awesome products. If you set on getting ragnarok id combine it with purple wraath. You could take rag pre workout and then during you could drink the purple wraath in between sets. I think it would work out great for you.

Thanks for the advice.
Purple Wraath is kind of pricey though.

Any cheaper alternatives?

Scivation xtend, or any other bcaa powder mix is cool. I say if youve got the cash sometime go for the wraath just because ive found that controlled labs has very high quality stuff.

really if you are getting ragnarok, you don't need to add creatine on top. not like the tricreatine malate is expensive, but may as well spend it on something else. like beta alanine

rag has some beta alanine, so i'd just try to add an additional 1.5-2g twice a day at other times. more or less 4-6g of BA is optimal per day, but dosing more than 2g at once gives people the tingles and is kind of odd feeling

The applied nutracueticals stack. Was on sale at nutra for 58.99

Would I be taking the Beta-Alanine pre-workout with the Rag?

For beta alanine, depending on your bodyweight I would say 4-5g/day at a maintenance dose.

Whey is essential, and NP has Dymatize Elite 5lb Isolate on special for $35 (Invalid Link Removed ). The Cafe Mocha is a real crowd pleaser.

Also Rag already has creatine, but if you do want to stock up for the future, NP has a kilo of micronized creatine mono for only $13(Invalid Link Removed ) which will last you for a long time.

If you really want BCAA's/EAA's , NP carries both in bulk but I personally don't feel they are necessary unless you are training in a hypocaloric state, which you shouldn't be.

Also I noticed you have Max CLA on your list. Might I suggest NP's Invalid Link Removed , it's 100g of CLA for $7, vs 90g for $9. NP, saving you money :)

Protein is essential - period.

That being said, for the price point given, I'd jump all over the RPM/Drive stack.

Ragnarok already has creatine and beta-alanine that would serve as your pre-workout dose of each. If you want, you could get some bulk powder of each and dose 3-5g creatine and 2g BA after your workout. On off days, I would also take 5-10g creatine and 4-6g BA split into 2 doses so that you can save the Ragnarok for only pre-workout.
