| Gold Member | Which of these are worth including in a pre/during workout supp? Trying to make a custom pre/during workout drank to sip on... Base Mix: Xtend BCAAs Beta Alanine Any of these worth including?: Betaine Anhydrous Rhodiola Rosea (what if Im already taking an adaptogenic complex for Adrenal fatigue?) L-Tyrosine L-Carnosine (wouldnt stacking Carnosine and BA make sense? or is it not required?) L-Norvalline ALCAR Vinpo Choline Source Sulbutiamine any others you can think of? (no creatine or NO) Im thinking of mixing these elements up for pre/during workout then chugging a second mix post-workout (since BA needs 6g dosing/day) |

Citrulline Malate L-Tyrosine Vinpocetine (for focus; but be sure not to exceed 10mg) Rhodiola Rosea is useful, as it helps elevate phosphocreatine levels and boosts ATP synthesis, amongst others. No need to add carnosine. Beta Alanine works by boosting cellular concentrations of carnosine. It is the more economical way of boosting carnosine levels, as straight carnosine on its own is rather expensive. Besides, carnosine is a dipeptide made up of beta alanine and l-histidine. So, when you take carnosine on its own, it has to be broken down into beta alanine and l-histidine, before the body can make use of it. To cut the story short, prefer beta alanine to carnosine for boosting carnosine levels. Xtend has Citrulline Malate but Ill definitely count that as a vote for L-Tyro and Vinpo. I edited in sulbutiamine after you posted. Have any thoughts on that? | |
