    ON 100% Casein Vanilla Wasted!

I have been experimenting with adding things to my protein lately. Reason being that for some reason my protein has been tasting "gritty" or like it has sand in it lately. The expiration isn't until '09 though. Anyway, today I thought I would add some egg nog flavor coffee mate and a little light cream. That worked out great....But a few hours later I decided to make some coffee with the same coffee mate and light cream. I was gonna wait till the coffee cooled down, but was eager to try this out so I poured the coffee all mixed up with the coffee mate and light cream into the blender. I added two scoops of the protein and it seemed to disolve right away. I blended it and it ended up really watery and with tons of bubbles, I tried it and NOPE!. Had to dump it all. Oh well, just thought I would share.

Based on the thread title, I figured that somehow the whole tub was wasted. That's why I was confused.

Yeah, sometimes custom mixes don't go over so well.

Whey and hot liquid doesn't mix to well lol, I have found this out trying to make hot chocolate, coffee, oatmeal, etc. They only way i have gotten it to work is to make a mixture of water and whey and slowly temper it by adding the coffee to it slowly as you stir.

protein powder rule number 7: water and milk are the only liquids it should be mixed with.

rule number 1: never waste protein. Man up and drink that stuff

No the whole thing wasn't wasted it was just the two scoops. I was just posting the thread for pure entertainment value. You're right it didn't go well at all. Usually I just mix my protein with milk or water but I seem to have gotten board with that and my protein seems chalky or sandy like that lately, something I never noticed before.

While were on the topic of successes and failures, I'd have to say my favourite success is peppermint tea with chocolate protein. Failures... oh wow too many. Mostly anything that starts with tuna and ends in shake
