How close should you be to your goal weight before taking fat burners?

Are fat burners okay to take if you have say...50 lbs to lose...or should you only take if you're maybe 5-10lbs lbs to your goal weight? Just curious...I see some peeps take mad amount of fat burners when trying to take off 75 pounds of fat while others hold off as long as possible.

I personally feel its more of a matter of how long you have been cutting rather than how much you have to loose. I think its better to save the stims/burners for later in the cut when weight loss isn't as prominent and your body slows down. Unless your already close to your goal weight and are only going to be cutting for a short time I would hold onto the stims until your body needs them (because if you start off on them, what will you do when your fat loss stalls later down the road?)

Agreed. I prefer to hold off most of tthe time until the fat loss stalls. Even then there are various methods to overcome this, e.g. switching up cardio activity from traditional to HITT, carb cycling in your diet, refeeds, etc. Afte the traditional fat burner methodology, then I like to experiement with thyroid manipulation, e.g. T-3. Bottom line, there's no reason in my mind to start using a fat burner if you have 50 lbs to lose.

I agree with Occ here. You have to modify your exercise and diet and start losing that way before you should rely on "fat burners". If you still super size your lunch and dinner and eat half a cheese cake before bed Even the Old ephidrine Hydroxycut won't help you.

i dont think you should use any fat burners until fat loss plateaus naturally... if you have 50-75lbs to lose, and you reply solely on fat burners and less on eating properly and exercise, youre much less likely to maintain that weight loss permanently.

I implement them when I am 10 lbs or so away form my target BF%. I also prefer to use supplements that stimulate ppar-alpha activity (SesaThin, DCP) and boost mood (HEAT, chocamine, etc). I don't feel as run don with these and I am generally in good spirits despite being in a caloric deficit.

chocamine, or anything else with PEA (cyctolean especially) turns me into a monster... makes me incredibly irritated and angry. im usually extremely easy going and calm, but put a few cytolean in me and i want to fist fight you for looking at me wrong.... i actually had to leave work early after popping a few the other day.

I think it's better to hold off on supplements until your almost at peak shape too. But I do think drinking coffee or green tea will give you a nice boost and help suppress appetite a little.
