Mixing fish oil, sesamin and CLA

Can I mix bulk fish oil, sesamin and CLA together for convenience or are there any stability, availability or timing issues ?

i'd personally like to kno about this too. everytime i read through sesathin faqs i seem to get lost between some saying its fine and others saying they wouldn't...

where are you seeing bulk fish oil in liquid form?

I would imagine this to taste aweful. Perhaps mix sesamin with CLA and take fish oil in the caps (because it tastes like bad fish). Sesamin solution and CLA both have a very tolerable taste, though.

Also note: sesamin is a solid. Sesathin and sesamin oil are merely the phytoestrogen dissolved in sesame oil.

I buy them locally, under Möller or Lys brand. Orange and lemon flavoured ones taste like... like plain vegetable oil with some essential citrus oil put in for flavour.

The unflavoured ones taste like dead fish on a hot day, but I'm not particularly picky. :D

The fish nastiness is caused by nitrogen impurities (i.e. ammonia) in the oil. Something cirtus-like will help neutralize this. Not that this really answers your question, but that's what's causing the taste and why you usually put lemon on fish.

I think it's mostly the acid in the lemon that reacts with the smelly amines, but the flavoured oil mostly seems to have the essential oils from the peels of the lemon :)

I remember seeing a study recently that showed fish oil taken w/ CLA enhanced it's fat loss properties. It didn't mention if they were in softgel or liquid, but that shouldn't matter, since they'd mix up in your stomach, anyway.

I've never read that sesamin oil shouldn't be combined w/ either of these two. The only oils I've heeard not to take at the same time are flax and fish, since they'd compete for absorption. I would think it's fine to take the three oils you mentioned at once.

As to liquid fish oil, I've used a lemon flavored liquid fish oil from Vitamin World. It didn't taste bad at all, to me, and it was really well priced.

Sesamin has a host of benefits. First it boosts hepatic (liver) and muscular mitochondria oxidation of fatty acids as well as boosting peroxisome fatty acid oxidation. Particularly episesamin is extremely potent boosting these two actions buy 2.1 hold and 5.1 hold in rats. When coupled with a diet rich in omega-3 fats (they seem to work synergistically) episesamin boosted them by 12.2 and 20.1 respectively. Now that's freaking impressive. It does this buy causing the DNA transcription of CPT (carnitine palmitoyl transferase) which is the rate limiting quantity in beta oxidation of fats in skeletal muscle and liver cells. So the gist is you burn more fat plain and simple.

To continue on the Fish/CLA thing. I've read that CLA can actually reduce your HDL levels. That being said, it would be an idea to take fish oil and cla together to get the benefits of both without lowering your good cholesterol. I try for about 3:1 ratio, 3 fish oils per cla.

I don't have any info on the mix with CLA.

Lemon Flavored Liquid Fish Oil actually tastes really good. It's surprisingly citric tasting. Like a melted down lemon head.

Anyway, hope the info up top was useful.

Nice to know the technicl end of how it works. I'm using the combo of all three right now. Not cutting at the moment, but tried to clean bulk and not add additional bodyfat.

I'm taking the combination right now.

But I want to MIX them together, so that I'd only have one mixture to take, and one bottle to carry around.

I was wondering if there are any stability issues... and maybe CLA should be taken before meal and fishoil+sesamin after the meal or sth...
