I recently read a great article with backings from a few university studies. Many of us (quite a few like it or not) will experience some heart problems in our life whether it's cholosterol clogging our arteries, heart defects from birth, from drugs, etc. The medicines that are used to save peoples lives in many of these situations are meds that are known as vasodilators, or a drug or chemical that relaxes the smooth muscle in blood vessels, which causes them to dilate by using a-2 receptors and other means. These meds are also extremely important in lowering life threatening blood pressure issues. As many of us know L-Arginine directly affects the a-2 receptors causing arteries to dilate, hence increasing blood flow, nutrient absorbtion, etc. However like almost ANY med or chemical once you take this every day the effects become less & less each day. The bad news is one who takes Arginine every day has a very good chance that if (or when) they may ever need a life saving heart/bp med, these meds may not do a single thing like they're supposed to, therefore you could die in a worse case scenerio due to the fact you were dosing Arginine every day. By pulsing, or only taking Arginine on workout days, this will continue to allow other a-2 receptor agonists like BP & heart meds to still do their job if you're ever in a life threatening situation. This will also make the Arginine more effective on the days you need it the most - workout days, not to mention, be MUCH easier on your wallet.
