Dong Quai for a male

I want to use Vitex for some prolactin and progesterone problems I've been having, but the NOW Vitex brand that nutraplanet sells has an extra ingredient called Dong Quai.

I looked this up and saw that it is mainly used as a herb for females for PMS and some other crap like that.

My question is whether this stuff has any negative side effects for a male to take it. So far it doesn't seem like it and hell it might even be good as it is supposed to increase red blood cell count.
