what do you do when you have no supplements and you have no cash at all???
just wanted to see what people do cause im in that state

Supplements are just that: Supplements. They should only supplement your diet and lifestyle. If you've got both in order, then you shouldn't need many supplements.

Although I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel like a kid on Christmas whenever I get some more cash to buy from NP...

Eat a boatload of tuna. You'll be fine, and after you eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner a few days, believe me, you'll find some way to get a couple pounds of whey. Oh, and quit f**king around on AM and go mow somebody's lawn!!!

(...just joking around, buddy!!!)

Funny but HARSH lol

Do a lot of productive posting and establish yourself as a respectable member who is knowledgeable about the supplement game, and you may be lucky enough to score free product to log and review. That's not an offer, so don't trip.

Sell something you own, like your body, your vehicle, your house, someone else's body vehicle or house......we've all been there and it sucks, but what you gots to do is make sure your eating right and the money will come somehow. Good luck bro, I had to get a third job to make ends meet.

oh jeez that was ****ing halarious bro. Ill bet you probably could sell you butthole. Im sure the porn industry would find things to stick up there that might hurt

No that would be pointless because you would be doing a forearm exercise then in a catabolic state after that exercise with no protein post workout.

ok i get it now, eat your own jizz b/c it is protein ? Man ur a sick phucker. lol.

if my budget is tight, supplements are the first expenses i'll cut. i've gone months before without any supps and it made me realize how small the marginal difference is with and without them. i think they have their place to gain/keep motivation giving someone more of a reason to hit the gym or push harder.

with the exception of designer hormones, the incremental advantage you gain from supplements is really small. of course, this is my perspective. many others will disagree.

i agree. Lots of people spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on supps that work in the background. What I mean by this is that, if you were given this bottle of _____ and told it does a b and c you would look out for these things like libido and say to yourself yeah it did help. Now if you were taking it without knowing what it does, but only how to take it and what you need to do/avoid Im going to bet at least 75% of the people would say this is bs it did nothing. My point being that many people actually have to look out for these things or they would be totally unaware of it. All this for what? Thousands of dollars that could possibly be spent on other luxury goods? Be smart, if your not rolling in money and dont have the cash to shell out, dont shell it out.

walk into a supp store grab some supps then walk up to the counter and bolt out of the store hoping the dude doesnt catch your ass. If you get away you can go back later with a wig and get more. If you get away then just switch it up. In no time youll be walking out the store with supps cuz youll be so hyoooooooge! nobody will even say sh1t. Thats what i do.

23 or so responses so far, and only less than a handful of posts with anything close to an advice, let alone a good one. I particularly like the response that stresses that supplements are what they are: supplements. When funds are tight, one might make the most of the situation by optimizing one's diet as far as can go. This is in line with my outlook, too.
The thread starter is fairly new to AM, and deserves some constructive advice. Most of the responses here are unfair below-the-belt jokes that some of the authors would not want to have directed at them, in the first place. When we leave such nasty jokes, without even knowing the questioner's disposition to jokes, it is easy to forget that it takes a lot of courage to pose a question like that on an internet forum. It is even easier to forget that we are not all as fortunate or as privileged. Now, feel free to hang me  :D

well said by Zee German.

I adjust my training. I usually don't have supplements for strength training. Just whey and even that is not needed. I've done hypertrophy and cut phase without sups, but I do like having them. I'll usually go through surges where I buy stuff and then go dry.

Totally agree. The thing is with diet you are either getting your calories and protien needs or you are not. That determines if you will gain size or lose it. Training on the other hand can keep you gaining if you switch it up to a good routine. Supplements are good and fun to take etc but its still nice to let the body go to norm so to speak and when you do get some supplements again youll respond even better imo.

As long as you have Protein Powder, you'll be fine.

And this is another reason to stock up when you do have the cash (income tax return, bonus at work, etc.) so you can stockpile a bit.

Look over your budget and buy essential foods that will give you the effects you are wanting. Make sure you don't work out so much that your natural recovery can't fix. You can go fine without protein powder, creatine etc but make sure you're getting all your vitamins, minerals etc from the whole foods you are eating. don't stock up on tuna and peanut butter and forget about other foods groups. getting a ton of protein while not getting enough of everything else can cause a lot of health issues.

What if he has free internet access and has no video games to sell?

Costco has 6lbs of EAS protein for $26. Eggs are ~$1.50/carton.

I drank 6 eggs 4 times a day for 6 months. I got em for free, but that'd be $3/day now. I haven't been that big since.
