MANY supplements are over priced loads of crap.....the basics will always deliver....creatine,bcaa,nos to an extent, and most important...PrOtIeN!!!!!!!

If you really want a good price then just buy the bulk powder form and make your own. Arginine AKG or Arginine Ethyl Ester should do the trick and cost much less. Use some crystal light for flavoring and you'll be good to go

I'm mainly wondering about the claim of targeted fat burning...
From the MRI site about : "The VAT-Burn fraction is clinically proven to strip of belly fat by 4.30%! All this, with whey fractions only!"
I know targeted fat burning has to be BS, but is there any truth to the claim that specific fractions of whey protein peptide chains can encourage fat burn?

It's overpriced because they buy so many four page ads in all the magazines trying to catch all the little kiddies who wanna get HUGE and don't know how to read a label and make their own. I wish it had spot fat reduction cause my wife has a spot that covers her whole a$$. I'd buy her a few cases if I thought it would work.

I tend not to really knock on MRI, because they started 2 of the biggest trends in sports supplementation:
1. Nitric Oxide modulation (esp. AAKG)
2. Creatine Ethyl Ester
I got a tub really cheap as I am out of Goat Whey and saw a really good deal on the Pro-NOS.
I'll see if it's Pro-NOS or Pro-POS.

i just ran out of min and got more today and bought 2 bins for REALLY cheap, well compared to eveyrwhere else.
GNC had on sale for like 41-42$, or sumin and i used the 20% disccount and both bins came out to be like 65$.!!!!!!!!!!
Online sells em for easially 55 and shipping. What i got, was a GREAT deal.
PRO-NOS isnt bad at all, i love the chocolate and the taste is amazing, its just that sum think its expensive....u just gatta get it the right time....GNC =)
I gained maybe 4 pounds using 2 bins(its not alot but i got h a very high metabolism so tis good for me)(lasted lil less then a month and 1/2), and gotten about 10-15 pounds up in my benchpress.
Pro-Nos is great.
This products for "People that want to gain weight, and is hard for them too, since they have a VERY high metabolism"
But people that dont want that big "Gainers", that are big in suger...

damn... i been ignoring this thread. Pro-NOS is REALLY top quality protein. I have a client in 7 minutes, so I can't get into much of a review yet, but it's TOP of the line in my 4 month run with it @ 3 shakes per day (2-3).

The French Vanilla is the best tasting Vanilla protein out there, but I cannot validate the price, so I only tried the 1lb.

And if you actually followed your own advice, you should hunt your own food and take your wife with you so that she could work off that fat ass.

Maybe it's just me, but I am a huge fan of the banana creme flavor.
As far as Oryx Goat whey, the company changed the flavor from what it used to be and now it has too much of a chemical taste to it.

Tried it before, tasted great, then again, it's got some additves in there which account for the awesome taste and consistency (nonfat powdered milk). Also, it has some fats in it, which will slow down the digestion rate, and those fats can easily be added to any other protein powder when made into a shake, or taken in pill form. Honestly, the French Vanilla flavor is the best vanilla I have ever tasted, it's hard to not drink it all the time, making the price for it even more expensive. Personally, I feel there are just as good/better protein powders out there, such as Optimum Nutrition's line, and I'm sure others more knowledgeable than I can help pout with some suggestions. Good luck!!

Yes its expensive, you just have to catch it on sale.
I primarily use it for my post shake, I seem to be haveing better results on my gains. But then I am training harder and eating smarter.
But it still has a great flavor though.
So my advice to your friend , catch it on sale and try it and make up his own mind.

MRI products can def. be expensive but I just bought the MRI Transformation Pack 2.0 from GNC website last Sunday for $119.99. Def. a good deal. I think it is $129.99 now but I got 4 bags of Pro-Nos 1lb each. Those are normally like $20 each. Between than and everything else you get you guys might want to check that out. The mail in offer for the fleece is a rip off though b/c the paper in the box says offer expired dec 31 2008 which sucks. I wanted that fleece.

Pro-nos is good, the small fat burner was slightly noticeable for me, helped with recovery a lot. Just gotta hope it's on sale when you need it...

AAKG is stil the arginine I like, although many seem to like AAE better.
Creatine Ethyl Ester on the other hand, is falling off the radar and is officially less popular than mono at the moment.
