ideal creatine cycle length

people cycle creatine all kinds of different ways...usually I just take it when I have the money and i'm off other hormonal supplements...also I prefer to cycle most supplements, hormonal or not, so using creatine year round is out of the question (for me)

what is the consensus for the ideal creatine length, considering it takes time to get your receptors/body saturated and reap the full benefits...

I was thinking 2-3 months on...2-3 months off, etc...

would only ONE month on be sufficient or ill advised...

Studies that I've been reading for a school paper on creatine use and safety say that saturation is obtained after the first 4-5 day loading period, so you could use it for only a month and still benefit. As far as how long on you could use it and keep the benefits, I am not sure. But I do know that it takes around 1 month to return to baseline creatine levels.

I've been playing with the idea of cycling creatine and beta-alanine right after one another to solidify/increase gains and never worry about losing their effects from prolonged individual use. As for right now though I'm concentrating on "designer cycle" so I havent tried it out.

I like it for PCT and in between cycles. IMO you can use it longer then 1 month but I'd never take a break longer then 2-4 weeks unless you're using roids.

I'd say anywhere between 16-95. Years old, that is. ;)

Seriously, i'd take two months off every year. That's it. I've gone 2+ years straight without a break.

I'm not sure why people 'save' creatine for between cycles. You're not getting the maximum from a cycle if you're not taking creatine, IMO.
