Kidney Supplements

What are good supplements for Kidneys? An office mate mentioned that her kidneys are failing and wanted to know if there was anything natural to take to aid their function, improve their health, and/or provide detoxification benefits to them.

If they are failing I don't think any OTC supplements are going to stop that more than whatever her doctor has prescribed her, if anything. I remember celery seed being beneficial but idk if that would help much.

Dandelion root is supposed to be helpful, but I'd be hesitant to reccomend it to her without her Dr.'s approval.
