Variations of this type of thread pop up from time to time, but as products change I think it's nice to hear everyone's current opinions about things that are staples in their supplement usage. I think most of us would also like to downsize (use fewer products with the same/better results) and even save money when possible. I'd love to hear any and all opinions on your current supplements staples as well as any periodic stacks you are contemplating/will use again. This thread might tie up alot of things that are present on the board but not one particular area. I'll begin the proceedings:
Staples:

Creatine (Omega Thunder for me, not an area I have experimented greatly in)
Protein Powder (Annabolic Innovations or Lo Carb Grow)
Fish Oil
Vitamineral Green (the best Green Food that I have found)
ZMA
Melatonin 3mg (I have found this to be as good a sleep aid as some other much higher priced products)
Green Tea High ECGC
USP C2 w/Ephedrine pre workout on high intensity days

This is pretty basic, looking forward to other ideas and from people who have used/recommend different stacks and have more experience with those stacks

  • Vitamin C (1000mg post workout and morning/night)
  • Fish oil (several grams)
  • NOW Pancreatin (mixture of 3 enzymes normally made by the pancrease to help digest fats, carbs and protein - w/ each meal)
  • Nettle Root (organic I grind myself - up to 4 tblsp if I want to increase free test, otherwise just .5 tblsp)
  • ATD 25mg (if I am using large amounts of Nettle to increase test)
  • LongJax (Tongkat Ali also gets rotated in and out for a test boost)
  • DHEA
  • Cissus bulk (strengthen stomach lining)
  • Saw Palmetto (organic berries I grind myself for prostate support)
  • Avena Sativa (organic ground myself often swapped with the Nettle for prostate support only)
  • Milk Thistle (organic ground for liver health)
  • Rhodiola Rosea (organic ground myself used to help with energy via oxygen uptake - helps untreated sleep apnea)
  • Maca (organic powder at times rotated in for an overall boost)
  • Muira puama (organic ground myself added in with Maca in large amounts)
  • Guarana (for sustained energy)
  • Coffee (Sumatra or Dancing Goat blend)
  • Cinnamin (before meals to control blood sugar)
  • Fenugreek (1 gram before each meal to lower glycemic load of meal)
For a mental and mood boost I take:
  • methyl-B12 (sublingual)
  • Ginko (organic ground myself)
  • Gotu Kola (organic ground myself)
  • Subultamine
  • ALCAR
  • L-Tyrosine
  • Aniracetam
  • Choline Citrate
To help with sleep I take:

  • Melatonin (rotate w/ Gaba every 3 weeks)

Do you know if DHEA is suppressive or not? I've heard many conflicting opinions on DHEA.

Doesn't seem to be at the 100mg dose I run.

Are you taking orally or transdermally? Thanks again.
Oral.
If I use the 7-OXO (7-Keto) metabolite I use transdermal but they are functionally different. The regular DHEA is orally bio available.

CHAPS my supplement regimen is very similiar to yours.

I like the idea of having 3 types of proteins on hand. One-quick digesting, one-slow digesting, and one type of MRP. I think its the best way to use proteins and also find it actually more affordable. Between buying all 3 of them it takes you a while to use all of it because your using specific proteins and at specific times. You also have exactly what protein you need and a quick meal always on hand. And if you buy in bulk, they last even longer (Although I was wondering the shelf lifes for all the types of proteins).

3. (which I recommend and currently using)....ALL OF THEM! IMHO you CANNOT spend a better $40 for anything other supplement stack. If you do let me know. This is from now on what I use while ON and during post cycle therapy in addition to Cycle Support.


I have tried almost every supplement out there and this is what I have found so far to be the top supplements that are worth my time and money on a regular basis. All of these bought from Nutraplanet will not cost you a lot of money in terms for what you're getting (I'll be honest, when I first started in the supplement I EASILY dropped a few hundred on only Muscletech products alone at the local GNC. You learn quickly that for the most part BULK is the WAY TO GO)

Great thread. There are other similiar threads but you are right, they go stale after a while and it's nice to see what people are buying out there now.

Yep I use the Micellar blend before i go to bed, the whey isolate apon wakening and post-workout and if need be 1 or 2 meal replacements during the day. I like to combine protein sources in my meals, I drink alot of protein shakes but they are combined with whole foods for the most part.
