Transdermal caffeine

Do you get the same effects in terms of alertness (and not being able to sleep... at least for me. ;) ) that you do when caffeine is ingested?

Depends on the carrier.

Systemic probably would but probably less efficient (don't recall oral availability of caffeine).
Targeted or site specific, no, but you get a diuretic effect; a al Lipo-Derm w/caffeine.

Oh god, lol. That's just awesome. I just bought one, can't wait :D

Hah let me know what you think! I wonder what else can be put in an inhaler :)

Transdermal caffiene in NP's Penetrate produces a really long lasting caffiene buzz. Awesome alertness and energy that just keep going and going..unfortunately going and going all night and I couldn't sleep for anything.

I save it for special occassions.

Didnt you use it for hiking or am I thinking of someone else...

Actually, now that I recall it was several grams of caffiene that I added to Lipoderm-Y. It wasn not in Penetrate but it would probably elicit the same effect.

I was just using it for cutting and added some more caffiene to the mix. The energy was sick, but I doubt it would last for long as you'd develope a tolerance to it quickly. Only did it for a day or two then I had to stop cause it wouldnt let me sleep.

I'm pretty sure they don't sell adrenaline at Wal-mart.

I gotta make a stop at wal-mart tomorrow, I'll make a note to look for it.

I don't know if they do, but they do @ CVS and Walgreens... as Primatene Mist Inhaler. Active is Epinephrene (adreneline). And they have 'generic' brands also. I'm getting one tonight for kick starting my mornings. :)

Went to Wal-Mart today. You were right, it is epinephine in the inhaler. They used to make tablets, that contained ephedrine sulfate, I guess I just assumed they used the same substance in the inhaler.

How's the primatene inhaler treating ya?

Is the dose actually big enough to notice any energy type effect? Lots of people use albuterol in enhalers. The dose is extemely tiny compared to what guys on the forum use to notice any effects though.

I don't think you'll get any effect out the inhaler, other than clearing your lungs. I use the OTC inhaler with epinephrine for asthma sometimes. It tastes like ****, iritates your mouth, and doesn't give me any energy boost.
