| Registered User | quick questions before I get started... Ok so just a little background: I weight 155, 5'10'', I don't know my BF but I have a feeling it is more than 15% (slight love handles). Anyways, I have been working out for about 5 months now and during the course of those 5 months I have only had whey protein shakes after my workouts. My diet is VERY clean, I eat pretty healthy and I cut out alot of the unecessary fats and at one point I was doing cardio everyday running 4 miles a day (except for Sundays). I lowered that to about 3 miles every other day in the mornings and I do some really light cardio after workouts in between the heavier cardio days. I just ordered Custom's Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL Powder and Glutamine Bulk Powder and was wondering how I should go about using these? Is it still necessary to keep my protein shakes going? How often should I use each of these (I know that the glutamine should be taken before and after my workouts), but how does that work with protein shakes? Anything I should add/change to my eating habits? I am going to start the creatine on Monday, so I want to get a heads up on the proper things to do from you guys. Thanks alot! -David |

| Gold Member | yes continue with the shakes. try to get most of your protein through whole clean foods like chicken and tuna. glutamine needs to be taken in total of 20g a day for it to really work so, little fyi. follow the dose of the CEE on the bottle, im not positive on the dose, i think its 3-6g. you can take everything at the same time if you want. look in the nutrition forum for eating tips. and for that much running you need to be eating a lot in order for your body not to use muscle as energy. .02 |
