ALCAR .... Can anyone link me some studies on this and how it improves cognitive ability . Iam dosing 2 grams a day along with ALA ..

Exp on this or anyone taking it would be nice ,

ALCAR is a great supplement. There's a good amount of human studies on it, and also anecdotal reports:

Human studies on a few different benefits:
Acetylcarnitine and propionylcarnitine showed beneficial effect on fatigue and attention concentration. Less improvement was found by the combined treatment. Acetylcarnitine had main effect on mental fatigue and propionylcarnitine on general fatigue.

A total of 120 patients were randomized into three groups. The mean patient age was 66 years (range 60 to 74). The results of this study suggest that ALC can reduce craving and the time to first drink. ALC use was safe. Further studies are needed to clarify to confirm, over longer periods, these short-term outcome benefits.
