Thermogain.... Its garbage.... BUT.....

Yeah, so my buddy buys a bottle of this stuff and when he tells me I laugh at him and then tell him there is like a 99% chance its going to suck but then he asks me why....

I had no GOOD answer so of course I went to the good ol net and went to a couple sites and used that nifty search function to try and give him some viable explanation....

Now granted, I found more than a few related topics and most of them talk on how this supp is garbage.... OK I can understand that.... but none of them say why its garbage...

I mean sure I can go to my buddy and be like "yeah dudes on the net say its bad, so it must be." though thats not a good argument....

So basically what about this stuff makes it crap?? I mean just from reading the bottle i see its a thermogenic with creatine... Maybe I'm wrong but isn't it counterproductive to take both at the same time??

So... in your guys opinion why is this stuff not worth it?? Oh, and it being overpriced is not the kind of answer I'm lookin for.... I'm more into why the contents make this stuff poo...

Thanks for any help....

Because it's made by Muscletech.

This about sums it up...

THERMOGAIN

Alpha-Gain Blend: 1.63g (of course a blend...1.63 grams of cee isn't even enough)
Tri-creatine malate --(get CEE in bulk instead)
Alpha lipoic acid -- (get ALA in bulk instead)
Cinnamomum verum --(has good GTF (glucose tolerance factor, but c'mon, ALA is enough)
Vinpocetine --(a nootropic huh? okay then)
White willow extract --(isn't this a appetite suppressant?)

Incinerate Blend: 726mg (another blend...lol)
Green tea extract --(just drink a gallon a day or buy it in bulk)
Caffeine --(drink a gallon of GT a day and you will have enuff caff)
Oolong tea extract --(overkill on the blend here, GT is superior)
Theobromine extract
Guarana extract
Yerba mate

Everything, but the kitchen sink. They have the nerve to charge 30 bucks for this crap. What a joke. Save your money for food.

Hell Yeah.

I know muscle-tech supps have a bad rap on the net, largely because of their insanely idiotic ad campaign in every major muscle mag, but lets take a step back for a sec here. Lots of this bad-mouthing is due to a) guys with ****ty diets expecting supps and aas to work miracles b) a "damn the man" attitude towards large corporations like muscle-tech, and c) because everyone seems to bad-mouth MT, I should as well, to fit in of course. I tried a bottle of thermogain to start my 16 week contest prep (to be honest the last 12 weeks are the real prep, the first 4 are just to get me used to the diet and take off some water) with some speculation of course, but within 10 days i've lost 15 lbs. Granted, its due to the diuresis and extreme drop in calories, but my appetite is in check and my intensity in the gym is up. I really dont know what guys are expecting. Look at the label, its basically a caffeine supp. It doesnt have ephedrine, it's not DNP...i think unrealistic expectations and lazy diets are the source of this hating on MT and other OTC thermo's.

That pretty much sums it up! Good post Nate. "Man, and I thought I was gonna gain 30lbs of lean muscle while cutting 10% bodyfat".....oh well.......

Excellent comments. The herd mentality takes root, and otherwise thoughful folks end up making a lot of idiotic, and sometimes hypocritical statements in the never-ending war to defend some companies while trashing others for no good reason, really. And just for the record, I've never a MuscleTech product, but that's simply because I've found products I consider of at least equal qulity for a cheaper price, NOT because I don't think their products meet quality manufacturing standards.

Well I am on the band wagon of Muscle Tech blows, but with the regard of Thermogain and their Pump tech I must say they have winners. I had the chance to sample them both for free before their release dates, with 3 bottles of each two of them I sold, but the one's I kept kicked a** as I wish I had not sold them. So not all of their products are garbage. As my wife is loving their Hydroxcut and lost 10lbs so far... SO not all MT stuff is the devil

Yea,i hate it when people just bad-mouth something before trying it jsut because its from muscle-tech. I agree that their stuff is twice over over-priced, but it is good and works(not exactly to the extent they say it should,haha.).
I just got some pump-tech,and my friend said m y friend use to take it. He said it was the most amazing NO he ever took. So you neverknow, everyone is different.

Over priced and underdosed would be my main critism.
