The scoop in my SNS Leucine has changed since the last two tubs, before it was a smaller scoop....and now its a 3X larger scoop. I'm not sure which one is the "5 gram" dosage. I attached a pic below.
got it from NP....totally legit outfitLeft one is 5 grams. That's odd, for me it hasnt changed? Where did you buy it from?
thats what I thought......whoa! must have been a mistake....smaller one
I was worried about this...since my smaller scoop fills the bigger scoop 3 times, which equals ~1.67 each if you divide 5 by 3. BUT the smaller scoops seems like a 5g scoop to me...and the bigger one seems a bit overboard. It could be correct. A year or so ago I noticed that my tub of SNS leucine was lasting longer than it should have... turns out one full scoop was ~1.85g. I've gone through a few tubs since then and they've all come with the smaller scoop buts it been a while since I've ordered any. I recommend weighing out all powdered products at least once when you get them to figure out a reference point to avoid any kind of uncertainty.
thats a BIG up in size though....x3. I could see a .5 increase or even maybe upwards of a double sized scoop. But overpacking couldn't come close to a x3. That big scoop dwarfs the smaller scoop. Then again like jessah said, my tubs last a good long while at 4 scoops 4 days per week. I never seem to need to buy a new one! So that worries me since there are supposed to be 100 servings (feels more like 2-300 servings). still confused! The thing about leucine is it is super fluffy and its consistency can very from tub to tub. I'm sure both scoops are accurate, but SNS probably found that not too many people really pack in the scoop, so they upped the size.
Trust me on this one lol. I've had it vary up to 500% for leucine. Very few ingredients are so fluffy and capable of being compressedthats a BIG up in size though....x3. I guess I'll just fill the big one up, below the top...underfilled a bit, and go with that I suppose. This stuff does like to fly away if you dare to take a breath while putting the scoop in your mouth before the liquid. So does Na-R-ala for that matter. I get people tell me it looks like I just snorted some coke and I need to clean that sht upTrust me on this one lol. I've had it vary up to 500% for leucine. The leucine density of each batch can vary greatly, so we always match the scoop size to the density of the leucine. The correct 5g dose is the one that came in the tub you're currently using. The scoop in my SNS Leucine has changed since the last two tubs, before it was a smaller scoop....and now its a 3X larger scoop. It does look like a legit 5g scooper with the eyeball test (the small one)....but the weight of this stuff is ridiculous, super fluffy is right. So in this case looks can be (and is) deceiving. I like the smaller scoop though, lasts forever that way....oh wellMy tubs have had the smaller one. I always measure my powders the first time I use them to see how close the actual dosage is to the listed amount. My little scoop was only 1.5g for my last tub (the powder was SUPER fluffy and light).
