    Pre workout/Acne?

I've noticed my acne increased a bit while on the pre workout Napalm. I usually don't get acne this bad but I've stopped taking it. I was wondering if its ingredients it has that's causing it or if the stimulants? Just an idea. Thanks!

Looks like the new napalm has DAA, which like R1balla, can cause acne in some users.

IF you're looking for a pre-workout without DAA, I'd highly recommend Volatile by Fahrenheit Nutrition. It mixes and tastes great, has two forms of creatine, citrulline malate, and a moderate dose of caffeine.

Anybody looking to use a completely natural vitamin to help reduce acne, I can swear by this stuff.

Pantothenic Acid. It's cheap, it's effective, and I love it. It takes about 10-14 days to start working, but is well worth it. I'm currently running and logging Epistane, and have been using Pantothenic to combat acne, AND IT WORKS! Give it a try if you still want to use the preworkout but don't want the acne.

I am also extremely acne prone, and basically anything will flare a breakout, but on Pantothenic acid (a form of vitamin B) I am much less susceptible to acne

Find the right dose for yourself, but it is recommended that you take 1 to 5 pills daily. Each pill is 100 milligrams, and for me personally I find that 3 pills a day is perfect.

However, theres different strengths and milligrams...but I buy the 100mg pills

Anything between 500mg - 1000mg worked well for me.

I have 250mg tabs by Source Naturals.

I've been reading about this latley and heard very good things. I'll have to give it a shot-especially when i'm taking any suppliments that can change hormones. I've got an achne flair up now actually so i might try get some tonight. Do you find it at the supermarket or is it more specialised?

try Sea Breeze original at night.. if it's not too strong for you, use it throughout the day to keep oil under control and your pores clean.

I recently had a hormonal imbalance that made my face break out and the Sea Breeze helped tremendously.

It's only $3 for a big bottle.. try to find original and not "actives".

Yep, had big oily lumpy acne from the DAA. Took about 2-4 weeks to start improving. I have pretty acne prone skin and DAA proved to be a nightmare for it..

Even though it's just a vitamin, I couldn't find it ANYWHERE at first..so I searched online and found a great source, shipped fast and free shipping. Not positive on rules for legal supps being sourced on the forum, so I'll PM ya just to be safe..

Only extra sensitivity to sunlight, chapped lips & some people experience an increase in acne for a week or two before the acne begins to go... After 6mths on it, the effects(good effects) stay for years in most cases... The product does work though...

Although I also know that Accutane is effective and have seen good results, not every side effect was positive. And this is enough for me to steer clear of Accutane and go with natural remedies first!

Accutane is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredient isotretinoin, a derivative of vitamin A called a retinoid. This medication is indicated to reduce or eliminate the development of skin lesions associated with a severe form of acne called nodular acne. Accutane side effects in men are typically the same as those experienced by women, though women are also at risk of developing pregnancy or menstrual complications.

SKIN OR NAIL CHANGES Men taking Accutane may notice changes to their skin or nails. The skin across the body may appear unusually dry and can begin to peel, itch or crack, RxList reports. A man's fingernails or toenails may also appear dry or brittle and may break or crumble easily. The skin along a man's gum line may also appear irritated or inflamed and can begin to bleed.

DIZZINESS OR FATIGUE Unusual episodes of dizziness or lightheadedness may arise in men treated with Accutane. Affected men may appear unbalanced or unstable while standing or walking. Increased fatigue may also occur, leading to problems remaining focused or attentive during daily activities.

JOINT OR BODY PAIN Uncomfortable sensations of pain may develop throughout a man's joints or body during treatment with Accutane. These side effects may lead to increased weakness or fatigue in certain men, which can cause difficulty moving about normally.

FLULIKE SYMPTOMS Men receiving treatment with this medication may experience flu-like symptoms, including fever, body aches, chills, fatigue or diminished appetite, RxList reports. Affected patients should contact a doctor if these side effects occur, as these symptoms may also be indicative of an alternate medical problem, such as an infection.

MOOD CHANGES Abnormal mood changes can occur in men taking Accutane. Men who experience depression, hallucinations, aggressive behavior, difficulty concentrating, insomnia or suicidal thoughts during treatment with this medication require immediate medical care, RxList advises.

RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION Male patients taking Accutane may be at an increased risk of developing a respiratory tract infection as a side effect of treatment, warns the FDA. Symptoms of a respiratory tract infection include breathing difficulties, nasal dryness or congestion and chest discomfort. Men who develop a respiratory tract infection should contact a doctor as additional medication may be necessary to resolve infection symptoms.

HAIR THINNING The hair across a man's scalp may begin to appear unusually sparse or thin during Accutane treatment, Drugs.com reports. Such side effects are temporary and normal hair regrowth typically occurs once treatment with Accutane ends.

UPSET STOMACH The most common gastrointestinal complications include nausea, vomiting, heartburn and diarrhea, according to PDRhealth. Men who develop severe or persistent upset stomach symptoms, notice blood in their stools or vomit should consult a physician immediately.
