After cricket, all I wanna do is eat sugar...
This is no good.

Any thoughts as to what issue this may be?

Take some 5 HTP. Your body goes into cravings after you burn up all those carbs. 5 HTP can help. Chase it with a crystal light.

sounds like a mental issue to me.

if you have to have sugar to stop trembling or some other physical issue, then you should have your blood-sugar tested.

It's not trembling or anything.
I'm fielding all day, drink water and purple wraath at drinks breaks.

Then I want some sugar after it. I do think it may be I'm using all my carbs up.

Thanks Flex.

Btw, hope u are well FL3X :)

Mental Mike....

When blood sugar levels drop, its common for the body to crave sugars to fill the depleted stores. Typically this can happen when muscle glycogen stores are depleted and the body struggles to fuel both the brain and the working muscles. Tbh im not familiar with cricket (NZ team is sh*t) but from what I do see, the games tend to last a very long time in the sun. So your body uses energy to disipate the heat even if your not moving around much.

Possible.
How would you eat? Protein and carbs or protein and fat? Say out in the field for hours.

From a performance point of view, keep carbs, especially high GI ones to during a match (like gatorade or powerade etc.) and maybe afterwards to replace any electrolytes and water. But you don't really need anything else different per say Unless fielding has a large energy expenditure component aside from heat loss that im not aware of.

You can just do protein and fat if you want to, your body will adjust to the lower carb levels but the choice is really up to you

I usually do protein and fat for brekky, pro and carbs for lunch and tea, then protein, fat and bcaas dinner with an electrolyte
