That's crazy, I have never heard of that. In fact, they put it in better pre-workouts now due to the sustained energy it delivers. My wife had to stop taking it because she was convinced she was going to have a heart attack.
Most may not even acknowledge it as part of a supplement stack because it is a staple along with fish oil and a multi-vitamin.

Every day. I use it as an adaptogen and not a preworkout.
I take it without. I found that it can take hours to have effect if I take it with food.
This is an ingredient I don't have much familiarity with, but its inclusion is certainly interesting in Compete. I'll have to look into it more.
