my guess is that it is because he is selling some products at such good deals that someone is jealous and tried to bring him down. For any of the products I buy from him, there is no competition at all. I just make a huge order too

I'm not associated to Smi2le, I was just passing along their news release. They claim it's business as usual, to order with the usual confidence in them.

my question is what were they raided FOR? if there was a search warrant (which it sounds like there was), it will say on the warrant, what the target of the warrant was. since they only sell legal supplements, what was the DEA searching FOR? anyone?

Maybe they were hoping for another bust like the liquidresearch bust (where they found all kinds of other narcotics).
Or maybe just scare tactics to stop people like smi2le that operate in the supplements "gray area".
In any case that is some scary ****, I think it is commendable that he is still planning on carrying ont he business.

Theusual... they still need a target for the search. particularized evidence of illegal activity, and a reason to search for suspected contraband. so, my question stnads.

I'm sure that after Rizzer gets some sleep he'll have more information. If this truly was a bogus raid (which it sounds like) then someone's balls will be on the block for sure.

What a nightmare for him! I imagine they'll be testing all his powders and make his life hell for the next several months.
Sure glad we're not being targeted by terrorists anymore so that we can expend valuable resources busting a vitamin dealer.
Hang in there Custom and DS! Hopefully its just a bogus charge.

With the DEA, an anonymous phone caller claiming Smi2le has X illegal in hand, is enough to generate a warrant based on a "Originally Posted by jjjd

It's possible Rizzer may have been trying to import something that Customs believes is illegal, and they passed it along to the Narcs to pursue.
The DEA operates under less strigent oversight than most agencies, they are far more inclined and allowed to "kick in doors first, ask questions later" than others are.
