Somebody smart school me on the supplement bans

I feel like I am missing something here, so I'd like to understand the rationale behind these (proposed) bans. Outside of the feds wanting to regulate and make more money, is there any other reason? I mean, are all of these supplement and vitamin companies, stores, and other outlets simply going to go out of business? There is so much proof that supplements and vitamins help people that I am just having a hard time grasping how this could actually happen. Especially to such a large industry.

A lot of times it is just bs and never comes to fruition. It is pretty funny though because a lot of morons believe the hype and they go and stock up on all the supposedly "to be banned" products. Easy way for companies to make a ton of money quick. I'm not saying it is always bs, a lot of the time it is legitimate. At any point in time there always seems to be people that think the country is going to ban all supplements. They have some kind of online petition(that is really useless) for people to sign. They think that will stop the government from banning the precious supplements they hold so dear. Over the years of being an anabolicminds forum member I can't count the number of times I've seen threads on supposed bans that never actually happened.
