1g of gaba, 3mg of melatonin, and 50mg of benadryl is what's working for me atm.

If ambien and xanax arnt helping you sleep you really have a problem and should see a doc. Those are two powerful drugs that under the right circumstances should make anyone able to fall asleep.
Xanax for wondering mind and anxiety whole trying to sleep. Ambien should be taken like 15 mins before bed and you must get in bed and shut your eyes asap.

Melatonin patches have had some pretty good results in those who for some reason are not responding to oral melatonin. The AgeForce transdermal patch also has GABA in it.
Ever try Valerian root? Hear that stuff is pretty good at relaxing you before bed.
Non supplemental wise you may want to try stretching out your hamstrings and lower back as these can be tight. Also, most of us have not so good posture so our necks can have knots in them. Usually I find if I can massage out a knot in my neck I will fall asleep better.
(unless I have taken DS craze.... I just CANT go to sleep... Admittently dosed it two days in a row... and both days I am up still and its 3am...)

First off, what does your routine look like leading up to bed? What do you eat pre-bed, and how much time before you lay down is that meal consumed. You might want to check into getting a sleep mask...as funny as it sounds, they do work for alot of people. Chamomile tea seems to be good to drink before bed as well.

I brush my teeth and then read or play some cod. I eat maybe 2 hours before I get into bed if not longer.

what dose of ambien were you using? could also try melatonin and herbal remedies like mattrag suggested. Sometimes I combine ambien and melatonin and still cant fall asleep that fast so I know what you are going through it sucks sometimes. Also do you feel you are depressed or have changes in mood?

Yeah, it depends on what I'm doing on the computer. World of Warcraft (playing, not being social with friends), takes about an hour to unwind, but if its just socializing, or browsing the forums, i can log and pass out like its my job

if xannax doesnt help, maybe seroquil. You would have to talk to a doc tho. I have bad sleep issues too, and if i cant get xannax i dont sleep. Used serquil and that puts me out.
