With the awareness of xenoestrogens becoming prominent in my mind, I am trying to cut as many out as I can. One of the things I always wanted was a water purifier so I finally got a 18 cup Brita for my fridge.

The question I have, and I hope you peeps can answer: Plastics are a source of xenoestrogens...every water purifier I found is plastic. Does that fail it's intended purpose in my regard or does purifying it help since it removes chemicals from the water that may be xenoestrogens themselves? Is it a case of it is still "bad" because it is a plastic container but not as bad as it would have been if it still contained all the treatment chemicals?

Here's a slightly off topic question: A lot of things are xenoestrogens. Are there things that are xenotestosterones (if that is even a word)or are xenoestrogens just natures cruel joke?
