ZMA and Real Science?

  1. ZMA and Real Science?


    Anybody know if there is some legit science backing up any of the claims for zma? (or even some quality anecdotal feedback) I remember reading a couple clinical studies but it was just that....a couple. And one was sponsored by SNAC systems, who originally trademarked the ZMA formula.

    There is. Your body has no storage mechanisms for zinc so what you take in is used or disappears thru urine. Not having enough zinc (which is common in US diets) can lead to a variety of issues including poor sleep and low testosterone.

    I enjoy taking ZMA before bed...started using ZMK recently and I'm really liking the rest I'm getting on it.

  6. Yes, I have noticed the sleep enhancing effect. Interestingly enough, for me I barely ever remember my dreams unless I take zma. Then I remember them almost every night. Does this suggest a deficiency in something?
