Helps with anxiety so I can see how it could help with sleep too.

I take a topical magnesium oil that Mike Mahler promotes. Excellent stuff, it comes highly recommended

the mag oil is to pricey for me, ive looked into it before...unless the price dropped for servings per container. I know it helps dhea tho unlike reg mag.

And yes it does mike, my boss told me to try it since i was having sleeping issues since most ppl lack magnesium. She gave a huge speech tho. It in fact helps me sleep.

Glycinate, malate, citrate, taurinate are all good. I prefer orotate if you can find it. Google orotic acid.

It sure does mate, zink and magnesium.. I pop it every night just before I hit the bed... A cortisolinhibitor also helps me sleep better, deeper i guess, I don't wake up as much as I usually do..

Try it atleast, if it doesn't work for you, then switch back to your former schedule.. Remember to avoid calcium around that time...

Good post- from a formulation perspective, I like mag orotate and malate in terms of the effects in relation to the pathways both forms can trigger

From a mfg. perspective- magnesium stearate and mag carbonate are a couple favorites- stearate is a great lubricant for automatic encapsulators and tablet presses, plus it can slow disintegration/dissolution (think time-release). Mag carbonate is really good as well- we use it in most of our excipient blends- it is a really great lubricant, plus it has decent bioavaliability, so it makes for a good fit for products....

I love magnesium, it makes me sleep SO well, and keeps me from getting knots in my back from my job. I like the malate form because it's easily assimilated and the malic acid has health benefits. I saw some ionic magnesium drops at vitamin shoppe today that interested me. I haven't done any research yet on the ionic drops, but it looked interesting as well.
