Coffee flavored drink slightly more effective than other PW drinks?

  1. Coffee flavored drink slightly more effective than other PW drinks?


    Caffein speeds gastric emptying, so it makes since that if I drank a protein shake with a small amount of caffein in a post workout drink, the nutrients would enter m y blood a little quicker, giving the drink a slight edge in terms of affecting body composition.

    Am I onto something, or completely off the mark? Discuss.


  2. Interesting. I have put coffee in Choco protein at work if I was getting sluggish. It does not taste bad. It will speed metabolism up and that alone could cause a body comp change.

    Which may be a good thing or a bad thing post workout. Theirs a lot to think about.
