Caffein speeds gastric emptying, so it makes since that if I drank a protein shake with a small amount of caffein in a post workout drink, the nutrients would enter m y blood a little quicker, giving the drink a slight edge in terms of affecting body composition.

Am I onto something, or completely off the mark? Discuss.

Interesting. I have put coffee in Choco protein at work if I was getting sluggish. It does not taste bad. It will speed metabolism up and that alone could cause a body comp change.
