The most important factor of whether or not you will be losing bodyfat
will be your caloric intake but supplemental nutrients/aminos play an
important role in maintaining/building LBM and allowing your body to
perform to it's potential. I must also recommend that since you're an
athlete and will have a VERY high level of activity that you make sure
you're adequately hydrated and are drinking water before/during/after
practices and training sessions.
At 6'4 1/2 and 220-225 lbs and only 17, you've definitely made the right
decision in sending us an email as we'll help you ride that puberty wave
and you'll fill out that frame nicely given you're eating plenty to
compensate for your level of activity.
Granted your getting enough calories, I'd recommend the following 2
options to supplement your rigorous training.
Option 1
---------
50% EAA
30% BCAA
10% Taurine
5% Vitamin B Complex
5% Flavor
Due to your high intake of calories that are coming from meal
replacements, I wanted to make sure you'd be getting all of your necessary
essential aminos in your diet. So this is a simple recipe to cover those.
1 serving - 10g
This mix can be taken 2 servings daily (preferably morning and preworkout)
2 lbs would last you 90 servings (45 days) and cost $54.89
Option 2
----------
Dextrose 20%
Sucrose 20%
EAA 20%
TriCreatine HMB 10%
IP6 (Inositol Hexaphosphate) 10%
Taurine 10%
Flavor 10%
This mix costs $33.27 for 2 lbs (908g)
TriCreatine HMB is 75% Creatine Monohydrate and 25% HMB. This would be
taken 15-30 minutes preworkout (weight training) as well as afterwards
(weight training).
1 serving size = 40g for your bodyweight.
2 servings per day on weight training days. 1 serving per day on
non-weight training days. (prior to practice) This mix would also
eliminate the need for your micronized creatine and the HMB. as well as
the need to load the product initially.
2 lbs would last you 23 Servings or about 15 days so $66.54 would be a 1
month supply that would eliminate your need to take HMB and creatine
separately.
Regarding safety...none of these ingredients are hormonal and definitely
fit your criteria for being safe. Typing the ingredients and their purpose
into
www.pubmed.com will give you sufficient scientific evidence.
